Description
The NOYAFA NF-8508 is a professional multifunction network and fiber-optic testing instrument designed for technicians, network installers, and maintenance teams. It brings several commonly used cable diagnostic functions into a single handheld tester, reducing the need to carry separate tools for Ethernet troubleshooting, cable tracing and basic fiber testing.
The NF-8508 supports CAT5/CAT6 network cable testing, wire mapping, cable tracing, port identification, cable length measurement, PoE checking, RJ45 crimp testing, optical power measurement, VFL testing, and non-contact voltage detection.
How It Works
The transmitter connects to the network cable while the receiver can be used for cable tracing and identification. The wire-mapping function helps identify wiring faults, including open, short, and crossed connections. The cable scanner uses a 455 kHz signal, while the receiver provides adjustable sensitivity for locating cables in bundles.
For fiber-optic work, the NF-8508 includes an optical power meter (OPM) and 10 mW visual fault locator (VFL). The OPM supports 1310, 1550 and 1625 nm single-mode wavelengths according to NOYAFA’s current product specification.
