Description
The CEAC PT100 RTD Temperature Sensor Probe is a probe-style temperature sensing assembly for industrial monitoring and automation applications. If fitted with a Pt100 element, it measures temperature through the predictable change in electrical resistance of a platinum sensing element.
The pictured assembly features a stainless-steel probe, connecting cable, and coloured wire terminals. It can be suitable for measuring temperatures in compatible equipment, process systems, and control applications when paired with an instrument designed for the relevant sensor type and wiring configuration.
A Pt100 sensor must be connected to a compatible RTD input or temperature transmitter. It should not be treated as a thermocouple because the two sensor technologies use different measurement principles and require compatible input circuitry.
