The STMicroelectronics M4T28-BR12SH1 SNAPHAT is a detachable 2.8V, 48mAh lithium battery and crystal module designed for compatible STMicroelectronics TIMEKEEPER, real-time clock (RTC), non-volatile memory, and supervisor devices. The module is designed to snap directly onto compatible surface-mounted SNAPHAT SOIC packages after PCB assembly. This removable configuration keeps the battery and crystal away from the high temperatures associated with surface-mount soldering and also allows the battery to be replaced when required.
