Description

The ET 200S Interface Module (IM) is the main communication head of the ET 200S distributed I/O system. It connects the ET200S station to a PLC (like S7-300, S7-1200, or S7-1500) through industrial fieldbus networks such as PROFINET or PROFIBUS, and controls all communication between the controller and the I/O modules.

It does not perform control logic itself—it only acts as a gateway (interface) between PLC and I/O modules mounted on the ET200S rack.
