SC-40 CLASS G FUSES

BUSSMANN EATON FUSE

Category: Brand:

Product Description

The SC-40 is a UL Class G industrial fuse from the Eaton Bussmann SC series, designed for branch circuit protection in low-voltage power distribution systems. It is a rejection-type, current-limiting, time-delay fuse used to protect motors, transformers, and control circuits against short-circuit and overload conditions.

Class G fuses, like the SC series, are compact, high-interrupting capacity fuses that help prevent equipment damage by clearing fault currents very quickly while still tolerating temporary inrush currents such as motor starting.

Key Features

• UL Class G rejection-type fuse (SC series)
• High interrupting capacity current-limiting protection
• Time-delay (slow-blow) characteristics for inrush tolerance
• Compact cylindrical ferrule design for fuse holders
• Designed for branch circuit and industrial control protection
• Fast fault clearing for short-circuit safety
• High breaking capacity up to 100 kA at 480 VAC
• Available in standardised rejection size to prevent incorrect replacement
• Suitable for motor, transformer, and control circuit protection
• Compatible with Class G fuse blocks and holders
• Reliable operation in industrial electrical panels
• UL 248-5 compliant design
